Support in judicial proceedings
The Needs
For youth appearing in court in cases against their parents (mainly) or other people (e.g. regarding sexual abuse, violence, or breach of trust).
THE IDEA
To assure the legal representation of the child in the Court and in civil and criminal procedures when the child’s interests are not guarded by parents, or when there is a conflict of interest between child and parents.
To compensate for the youth’s lack of legal knowledge and protect his or her rights.
FOCUS ON
The Oise region
In 2007, 227 youths were supported by Groupe SOS Ad-Hoc administration services. Its mission is to advise child plaintiffs on types of prejudice, possible financial compensation, and official procedure, as well as to support them.
